EEC - EUROPEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY
Европейское экономическое сообщество (ЕЭС): экономический союз, созданный в 1957 г. Бельгией, Францией, Италией, Люксембургом, Нидерландами и ФРГ для развития торговли и сотрудничества; в 1973 г. присоединились Великобритания, Ирландия, Дания; в 1984 - Греция, в 1986 - Испания и Португалия. Основные задачи ЕЭС: формирование “общего рынка” путем постепенной отмены между государствами-членами таможенных пошлин и количественных ограничений для ввоза и вывоза товаров, установление согласованной торговой политики в отношение третьих стран, создание условий для свободного перемещения рабочей силы, капиталов и услуг, координация экономической, социальной, валютной и инвестиционной политики
